the personality

Kestrel's personality mostly goes after his late mentor's, Sparkstep. He is usually found with a cocky smirk on his face and a spring in his step, it takes alot to get this tom down. He likes to joke around and raise other cats' spirits. He is very over-confident and will likely charge into battle without much of a plan.

Kestrel has strong morals and has a heart of gold, making him rather out-of-place in BloodClan, but his hunting skills make up for it. Kestrel is often used as a spy in the clan, his superior hunting skills make him patient and silent. He spends most of his time by practicing his stalking on two-legs and dogs to improve.

One of Kestrel's major weaknesses is his sister, Sparrow. He is very protective of her and can be really agressive when it comes to protecting her. He is highly untrusting with anyone around his sister, and anyone in general, because of his time on the streets as a kit, he has learned to alwasy be on his toes.

the history

Kestrel was the oldest of a litter of five. His mother was a kitty pet breed give an heir to a great show cat who had won many metals. Only one of the kits was taken into the two leg home, the rest were left in a carboard box in the street to be taken home. Kestrel and his kin were raised in the box, and were to scared to leave it, so they satyed and waited, hoping they would be taken to a good home. Some of the kits were taken until two were left: Kestrel and Sparrow. The brother and sister were left in that box for three days before they were forced to leave. In the middle of the night, a stray dog found the kits, and had to out run the dog. While defending his sister, Kestrel got a nasty wound on his chest, which would later scar. Kestrel and Sparrow had to live by themselves on the streets, but weren't doing very well at it, Sparrow was becoming weaker and weaker by the day. Suddenly despret, Kestrel turned to the local clan, BloodClan to save his sister.

BloodClan laughed at the two young kits at first, but then a russet tom (claiming to be called "Sparkstep") snapped at the clan cats to move along. Sparkstep, though old, took the two kits under his wing and nursed the two back to health. Sparkstep taught the two all about the clans, old and new, and how he was once of a clan called "ThunderClan", Sparkstep raised the kits to have good morals and hearts of gold. But Sparkstep was an old cat, and couldn't keep the kits away from the darker side of BloodClan forever. He introduced them to the leader, and he let Kestrel into the clan, but wouldn't let Sparrow in because she was still weak. In a rage, Kestrel sprang at the leader and claimed to not be in the clan unless his sister came with him. Pleased with the kits' reaction, the leader let the two in, thinking Sparrow wouldn't live long in such a harsh world.

Kestrel rose in ranks rather quickly and was soon named a great hunter in the clan, but slightly hated for his hero-like personality. Kestrel work hard through the years to prove himself to his clan, and keep his sister well, but because of her good looks, she was usually tageted by toms to take advantage of. Even though Sparrow was a strong fighter, she also hated fighting and never faught back. So it then became Kestrel's job to protect her, after a while, most toms got the message to never approach Sparrow.
